Shop Owner
I grew up across Southern California and have been immersed in art for as long as I can remember. In the early ’90s, when graffiti from the East Coast took off locally, I was instantly hooked.
In 2004, after seeing a show by Mark Ryden, I was inspired to start painting. I enrolled in college art classes, studied technique, collected books, and immersed myself in the LA art scene—learning from shows, conversations, and close observation.
By 2005, I was exhibiting in Los Angeles at Cannibal Flower and The Hive. Around the same time, I began trading artwork for tattoos, which led to an apprenticeship and the start of my tattoo career in 2007. Mentorship and community have played a huge role in pushing me to grow as an artist.
Looking back, tattooing feels like what I was meant to do. I now work at a great shop in Temecula, travel occasionally, and keep life centered on painting, tattooing, church, and time with my wife and two kids.
